Next Thursday, July 7, 2022 WFWPI will host a virtual Side Event during the UN High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) 2022, under the theme: "Permaculture: A Universal, Hopeful Practice for Building Back Better."
The program will feature perspectives from expert permaculture practitioners, community leaders, educators and government leaders as well as a roundtable discussion. We will identify practical solutions and successful practices while encouraging the creation and implementation of policies that support resilience and partnerships towards building back stronger from the pandemic.
We hope to inspire both government and civil society, local and global, to contribute to the Decade of Action and Delivery with concrete actions that accelerate the achievement of the 2030 Agenda. This includes growing one’s own food, creating a community food forest, in collaboration with businesses and the local government, showcasing permaculture as a universal, hopeful, regenerative model to achieve food security and the health and well-being of the people and the planet.
