Young professionals around the world are playing an active role in creating and promoting peace by making their voices heard for positive change, coexistence, and harmony. Young people are the builders of the future of their countries and the world. In this webinar, WFWPI would like to focus on the role of youth in the family and society in enhancing and contributing to the culture of the community and society. Panelists will share best practice success stories and decision-making processes that have effectively tackled huge crises in various areas of life's responsibility.
Ms. Joy Ikumoinein is an Author and a Business Leader, responsible for the strategic direction across her organization to create, deliver and capture value. She has over ten years experience in management roles, with her career spanning the Third sector, Government and Private sector organisations. She is the the founder and director of the award winning E-commerce brand, TONBEY.com. She is also the executive director of The LivingJoys Foundation, an NGO that is provides a platform for training and development, support and mentoring and facilitating educational advancement for girls and young women. She has spoken, written and presented on issues of girl’s protection, body positivity, women’s role in peace building and women’s leadership and participation in policy and governance. She is passionate about supporting young women to thrive and develop into good citizens, and has also worked as a youth policy adviser to the Nigerian Government, where she advocated for a new pathway for young girls who dream about following and expressing their creative calling. She is an alumni of the London School of Economics Business School and holds a Masters In Business Administration (MBA) in International Business.

Winner of the Korean national award, "Outstanding International Musician of the Year" by the Arts Critics Association, as well as "Artist of the Year'' by the Gangwon Foundation, Yezu was appointed as
Honorary Ambassador of the City of Chuncheon, where she serves as the Artistic Director of New York in Chuncheon Music Festival. Yezu was a Fulbright Scholar in Germany where she was a researcher at the Isang-Yun-Haus and an academy member of Ensemble Modern. Born in Freiburg, Germany, Yezu moved to the US at age ten and currently resides in New York City.
She received her doctorate degree from Stoney brook University.
Ms. Lydia Tesema is a Melbourne-born and raised, Ethiopian Conversationalist, Creative, Youth Program Facilitator, Cultural Consultant, Community Leader and the founder of a creative media platform ‘Below The Surface’. Dedicated to carving out a unique and versatile career as a global Thought Leader and Changemaker, Lydia divides her time between community work and her love for Presenting, Hosting, MCing and Panel Moderating. Co-host of the 'Voices of Australia podcast', Lydia joins Anthea Hancock, CEO of the Scanlon Foundation Research Institute, to explore what a socially cohesive society in Australia looks like from diverse perspectives. Extremely passionate about making sense of the world and inspiring the next generation to be purpose- and change-driven, Lydia uses the power of connection, authentic conversation, creating (in all its forms) and her deep interest in social justice to leave her unique mark on the world.
