Italy: A Vision for Peace
On 24 November 2018 at the Urban Center Track 7 in Monza there was a one-day study and in-depth seminar organized by UPF and WFWP. A select group of Ambassadors of Peace and contacts who had already participated in previous public events or meetings were invited to this day. The study group saw the participation of 30 people among UPF, WFWP members and guests.
The aim of the meeting was to present an in-depth analysis of the vision of peace promoted by UPF and WFWP which was explained, over the course of the three sessions, based on the following themes:
Educational Proposals for Future World Citizens
Promotion, Support and Protection of the Family as the founding cell of society
Good Governance and Social Cohesion
The first session was presented by Giorgio Gasperoni, editorial director of Voci di Pace (UPF & WFWP quarterly magazine), the second session by Elisabetta Nistri Calì, president of WFWP Italia and the third session by Carlo Zonato, president of UPF Italia.
After each session, enough time was left for question & answer session and interventions by the participants who enriched the given presentations with their experiences and reflections in the context of their activities and professions. Many questions and clarifications allowed the speakers to further explore the issues introduced during the lectures.
The result was a very intense and constructive day that we will certainly propose again in future as part of UPF and WFWP programs.
