On April 10, 2023, the Women’s Federation for World Peace Burkina Faso celebrated the 31st anniversary of the founding of WFWP. A conference was organized on this occasion around the theme, "The Involvement of Women for a Secure and Peaceful Nation," which was held at the Palace of Youth and Culture Jean-Pierre Guingané in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso with the participation of 180 people.

A presentation of WFWP projects worldwide as well as some activities carried out in Burkina Faso was given by Mrs. Aimée Kabore, the National President of WFWP Burkina Faso. She also emphasized the major role of women so that they become aware of it and become involved in the establishment of peace and security in the nation and in the world.

A second presentation centered on the topic, “The 21st Century is the Century of Women," was given by Mrs. Jacqueline Sou, a WFWP member. She made it clear to the congregation that we are living in the era of women and that the model that all women must follow at this time is that of the co-founder of WFWP, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, who is affectionately known as the Mother of Peace. She also stressed that the woman must highlight all the positive qualities that God has given her in order to establish happiness and create peace in the family.

Next, a presentation on women's health was given by Ms. Monique Ouedraogo, a UPF Ambassador for Peace. She raised awareness among women through her presentation on breast cancer. The participants then followed the presentation of the five universal principles of Ambassadors for Peace explained by Mr. Thomas Diarra, Secretary-General of Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Burkina Faso.

Before moving on to the phase of recognition of new Ambassadors for Peace, Mr. Boureima Zongo, President of the Center for the Care of Orphans and Vulnerable Persons, offered certificates of recognition to express his gratitude to WFWP Burkina Faso and to Mrs. Ouedraogo for their donation activity in favor to internally displaced persons which took place last March.

Subsequently, a total of 15 women received their certificate of distinction as women Ambassadors for Peace. Mrs. Djeneba Kiemde, one of the Ambassadors for Peace, gave words of encouragement and congratulation. Then followed a cake cutting, accompanied by a song sung by the musical group, New Hope. Afterwards, there were family photos taken and refreshments were shared to the guests.

The Ambassadors for Peace were all very happy as well as their guests for this beautiful and simple celebration. One of the former Ambassadors for Peace who was interviewed expressed her gratitude to WFWP on behalf of all the ambassadors and wished long life to WFWP International.
