Winners of The 2nd Annual “Color My Heart with Peace”
We are thrilled to announce the winners of the 2nd “Color My Heart with Peace,” an international children's art competition.
Women’s Federation for World Peace International (WFWPI) started this project to foster self-expression in future generations, especially based on the vision of building a world of peace, unity and happiness together as one global family, to create a blossoming culture of a giving heart where everyone can freely express their creativity, talents and compassion. The theme of the contest was "Reunification of the Korean Peninsula," to commemorate the 71st anniversary of the Korean War, raising the issue of thousands of families who were separated by the war in the world's only divided nation.
WFWPI has posted the results of the winners on its official website and Facebook page on August 18, 2021.
This year, the winning categories were divided into two age groups: 7-9 years old and 10-13 years old. Many children, parents, and teachers from all over the world submitted their entries, and we received 146 masterpieces from 31 countries. The works were reviewed and evaluated by a panel of judges: Prof. Hyoung Min Na and Prof. Mee Na Park of Kyung Hee University. The evaluation was based on the following criteria: creativity 30%, interpretation of the theme 30%, the overall impression of the work 20%, and Facebook likes 20%.
In addition to the judging criteria, a total of 82 winners were selected, including 2 Gold, 2 Silver, 2 Bronze, 16 Merit, and 60 Achievement Award winners, taking into account age, country of participation, and other factors.
Chiara Castellon (8 y.o.) from Argentine and Isabella Holdhus (12 y.o.) from Norway was selected as the Gold Winners for the 2nd “Color My Heart with Peace” contest.
The 2nd “Color My Heart with Peace” Online Exhibition will be held via Facebook and our official website starting August 24 to September 24, 2021.

The WFWPI hopes that this art project will be a small step towards a larger vision to realize world peace, not only on the Korean Peninsula but also throughout the world, starting from the hearts and minds of our children, our future generation.
