On the occasion of International Women's Day, WFWP Uruguay held an event with 200 participants on March 16, 2018 at the Victoria Plaza Hotel in Montevideo.

During the event, medals and commemorative plaques were awarded to 12 individuals and 17 organizations that work for a better society. Through this event, WFWP Uruguay could be linked to other organizations and cooperation, as well also an opportunity to help other organizations to broadens the scope of their activities.

Ms. Maria Rosa's, President of WFWP Uruguay, networking efforts have been outstanding. The cooperation between WFWP Uruguay's Board of Directors, Ambassadors for Peace and the WFWP members has become the driving force behind the development of WFWP Uruguay.
