WFWP Oceania Organizes 'Helping Hands in the Highlands'
Written by WFWP Oceania
WFWP Oceania helped coordinate an event entitled “Helping Hands in the Highlands,” where they met with students of Kewamugl Lutheran High School to deliver a series of presentations.
WFWP PNG Chapter President Ms. Betty Kaime and members of the Jiwaka WFWP Board gifted every student with hygiene kits and booklets on menstrual health that were donated by the Wandin Chapter of Days for Girls in Australia. The students were elated to receive these gifts, as this was the first time they had ever received gifts from Australia.
WFWP Oceania also provided students with an explanation on the role that Women’s Federation for World Peace plays in contributing to world peace.
As a result of this event, many of the women living in the Kerowagi district have shown an interest in joining the organization. Mothers of the students have also expressed their gratitude for providing their daughters with these gifts and were overall very moved by the efforts made by everyone in organizing this event and traveling to the school.
