WFWP Spain Hosts Webinar on The Impacts of COVID-19 within Society

On June 30, WFWP Spain (Asociación de Mujeres por la Paz Mundial) Organized its first webinar about the Impact of the Pandemia Covid – 19 on Society.
Three panelists Maria Jesus Gonzalez, Maria Dolores Sophena foundation and Susana del Rio, experts in the EU were involved and talked about different aspects from their personal based on professional work on the effects of the pandemic. The panelists discussed the significance of developing love and appropriate attitudes when dealing with other people in the community.
The European Union expert talked about the institution and what it has achieved in the recent past. However, she never failed to highlight the limitations where the EU has not done well, such as sanitation, as competency relies on the member states within the European Union.
Despite the challenges that are involved, the EU is committed to ensuring that the needs of the European citizens are met regardless of their nationalities. As a result, the EU is willing to stand with the member countries during difficult times and provide the support that is needed. Additionally, they focused on the effects of the pandemic rural areas.
M Carmen Quintanilla’s main objective was to analyze the role of women entrepreneurs and how they are burdened in taking care of their businesses and their loved ones. They are tasked with the responsibility of providing food to the children and the elderly in society. From the discussions, it was evident that rural areas are among the worst-hit areas since the healthcare system is not yet developed. This means that people need to be sensitized on how to stay safe.
The president of the AMPM, Marcia de Abreu, was the moderator and regulated the questions that were asked and gave members an opportunity to speak and comment when it was necessary. The event was full, and the panelist developed a warm atmosphere and was willing to engage in different aspects to help the people more so the elderly. Therefore, the activity was insightful on what individuals and institutions are supposed to do for the future.
People have lost jobs and they are forced to stay home to control the spread of the virus. This has not been easy for a lot of individuals who like to socialize and interact. Studies that have been carried out in the recent past indicated that the number of mental health cases has increased because people have not received psychosocial support from experts.
