WFWPI Educational Course with Ms. Yuhee Lee: Making Emoji Stickers for Dummies

Emoji stickers are a way to express emotions through the written word online, and the Women’s Federation for World Peace International (WFWPI) worked with Ms. Yuhee Lee to design a virtual educational course for those interested in learning how to create and sell emoji stickers on various online platforms.
Ms. Yuhee Lee is a young professional who graduated from the Department of Nursing Sciences at Sun Moon University in South Korea. She is currently working as an operating room nurse at Saem Hospital. Besides her major work, she is also a digital expat. What started as a hobby has become a professional emoticon-emoji sticker production and is now sold on online platforms such as Line, OGQ market and Mojitok. She is also a speaker at the OZIK audio platform. Ms. Lee also creates original products for online retailers such as Idius and Etsy, and is an active blogger on Naver and Tistory.
Three lectures were held every Saturday from June 18 to July 2, starting at 7:30 p.m. KST and lasting one and a half hours per session. Sessions were conducted in Korean and translated into English. The curriculum for each session was smartly developed so that participants could learn new skills in a short amount of time, but with impact and without losing interest, making each day informative.
Starting with how to choose a smart device and program to create emoji stickers, participants learned the basic techniques and tools that are needed to draw stickers. Finally, Ms. Lee explained how to submit works according to the standards of each sales channel, such as LINE, OGQ market and Mojitok. The course was especially educational for the younger members, motivating them to learn new skills and develop new hobbies that could actually bring financial support. Through this course, participants were encouraged to challenge themselves and create emoji stickers to start a new career in the creative field. In fact, several participants launched their own brands online after the course and began selling stickers of their own design.
WFWP IHQ plans to continue to host virtual educational courses in 2023.
