On December 14, the Women’s Federation for World Peace International (WFWPI) brought the world together for its long-awaited Year-End Party. Held virtually, this lively and heartwarming event marked the conclusion of a remarkable year. Under the theme, “Celebrating a Year of Impact Across the Globe,” the celebration highlighted achievements, inspired connection, and set the stage for an exciting and purposeful 2025.

Hosted by the dynamic and charismatic Myoga Molisho, a young professional from DR Congo, the event welcomed attendees from all corners of the globe. Leaders, dedicated members, and enthusiastic supporters donned their finest festive attire, creating an atmosphere brimming with energy and holiday cheer. From glittering dresses to Santa hats, the virtual screens came alive with color, smiles, and togetherness.

WFWPI’s International Secretary General, Dr. Paris Moon, officially kicked off the celebration with heartfelt reflections on the growth of the Year-End Party. “This is our fourth year of the Year-End Party, which we started in a very small and humble way. Now, it has become the gathering that many people look forward to. Enjoy the event today, and I wish you a Merry Christmas full of unconditional love.”

Adding to the spirit of celebration was a special message from Mrs. Moriko Hori, WFWPI’s International President, who sent the greeting video from Rwanda. Speaking in front of a WFWP vocational school, she reflected on her experiences traveling and witnessing the impactful work of WFWP chapters worldwide. “This year, I visited many countries and met our leaders and members face-to-face, realizing how impactful our projects are. I hope you will have a chance to visit projects in other countries to broaden your perspectives and learn from different chapters. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to making a better world. I hope next year will be even more wonderful and amazing.”

To kick off the festivities, participants were invited to describe their 2024 in a single word—a simple yet powerful exercise that brought the chat to life with heartfelt and diverse responses. Words like “Momentum,” “Blessed,” “Adventurous,” “Challenge,” “Progressive,” and “Fast-going” painted a vivid picture of growth and resilience, while “Unpleasant surprises” poignantly reflected the global challenges many faced this year. This engaging icebreaker fostered a moment of collective reflection, uniting participants in acknowledging both the struggles and the triumphs that defined their shared journey through 2024.

A beautifully crafted video presentation transported attendees through the highlights of WFWP’s accomplishments in 2024. From empowering women in local communities to advancing peacebuilding initiatives, the video showcased the tireless work and dedication of WFWP’s global network. Attendees were filled with pride and renewed motivation as they watched the highlights of their shared achievements.

The excitement continued with the WFWP Special Quiz, a lively game testing participants’ knowledge about the organization’s history and mission. Questions ranged from the founding of WFWP in 1992 to creative prompts like imagining WFWP Co-founder Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon as a superhero. Laughter, learning, and a touch of friendly competition made this segment a highlight of the event, fostering an even greater sense of connection among participants.

Attendees were invited to envision a brighter 2025 by sharing their heartfelt wishes for the world. Through lively chat exchanges and live participation, profound aspirations emerged: “End all wars forever,” “Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” and “Unity and peace for all nations.” Building on this wave of inspiration, breakout sessions encouraged meaningful dialogue about WFWPI’s future goals. Participants brainstormed innovative ideas, such as engaging youth in peacebuilding initiatives, introducing health-focused programs like Zumba and yoga to foster stronger, more connected communities, and enhancing WFWPI’s global visibility and inter-chapter collaboration.

The event shone a spotlight on excellence and creativity with two special honors: the Best Dresser Award and the Most Attended Chapter Award. In a lively and interactive segment, attendees voted live for the most stylish participant, crowning Andrea Fayad from Colombia as the winner. Meanwhile, the Most Attended Chapter Award went to WFWP Thailand, applauded for their remarkable commitment and active participation in WFWPI webinars and educational programs throughout the year.

Adding a layer of excitement, the Global Raffle rewarded two lucky winners, HwaJin Song from Korea and Gwen Tschimbana from South Africa, with $100 prizes each. The virtual wheel spin kept everyone on the edge of their seats, adding a fun and thrilling element to the event.

As the event came to a heartfelt close, participants shared moving reflections and meaningful takeaways that captured the essence of the celebration. One attendee expressed, “Today’s experience is the feeling of happiness and women’s unity,” while another remarked, “The spirit of WFWP is strong and alive.” For first-time participants, the impact was equally profound: “As a first-timer, it’s beautiful to see programs like this exist. Groups such as this one are very much needed and can make big changes.”

The moderator closed the event with gratitude and optimism, thanking everyone for their participation and dedication. “Your energy, ideas, and commitment are what make WFWP so special. Wishing you a joyful holiday season with your loved ones. Let’s make 2025 a year to remember!”

The 2024 WFWPI Year-End Party was more than a celebration; it was a testament to the strength, resilience, and unity of WFWPI’s global family. It reflected the organization’s unwavering commitment to empowering women and building peace. Attendees left inspired, connected, and ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities of 2025.
