Women of the Maternal Heart Network Building a Strong Society Against COVID-19 (WFWP Thailand)
On May 6, WFWP Thailand organized their second "Women of the Maternal Heart Network Building A Strong Society Against COVID-19" virtual event, to provide a platform for the exchange of academic and professional knowledge, concerning topics related to women's roles during the COVID-19 outbreak. The online platform allowed for the participation of those interested from all over the country.
The opening remarks were given by Mrs. Kamoltip Payakvichien, President of the WFWP Thailand Association. During this time, the speakers who are experts and experienced in the following four areas were introduced and honored.
"Healthcare For Themselves and Their Families" by Professor Dr. Kulkanya Chokpaiboonkit, Children's Center Specialist, Siriraj Hospital
"Environmental Conservation" by Ms. Preeyaporn Suwankas, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Pollution Control, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment
"Education" by Ms. Wanpen Pankaew, Director of Ban Thip Kindergarten and Sirikanrat Kindergarten, in which she discussed new approaches to education and in particular, fostering the growth of young people in the digital age, who have the opportunity to access knowledge that will develop the nation with technology. Ms. Pankaew spoke on the importance of building these young people's character which should preserve the good culture of the nation.
"Taking Advantage of Technology" by Mrs. Apinya Srisomboon, founder of the legendary fried food shop "Pe Ya Kon Room," in which she spoke powerfully about overcoming poverty on your own, through harnessing the technological advancements in the market economy.
The seminar was attended by 630 participants from the Provincial Social Development Authority, which included foundations, associations and women leaders.
