On the 11th of October, we commemorate the 10th anniversary of the International Day of the Girl Child. Girls around the world face unprecedented challenges to their education, physical and mental well-being, and protection needed to grow in safety. Education is of prime importance if the girl child is to grow into a happy and empowered woman of quality, to affect her family and society positively. What should the objectives of education be? Pure knowledge is now easily accessible on electronic media. Nevertheless, understanding human rights, protection, and respect for all humans and the environment, and the exercise of good practices for mental and physical health, just to name a few, are not subjects frequently included in systematic education.
During this virtual conference organized as a round table, a young researcher will expose the issues youth in the Middle East have in their quest for a brighter future, loving families, and prosperous societies. Two seasoned educators will then discuss her points and expose the realities of today’s educational system.
