Young people are the builders of the future of their countries and the world. In this webinar, WFWPI would like to focus on the role of youth in the family and society in enhancing and contributing to the culture of the community and society. Panelists will share best practice success stories and decision-making processes that have contributed to effectively tackling huge crises in various areas of responsibility in lives.

Ms. Joanah Mamombe, Member of Parliament representing Harare West Constituency
Ms. Joanah Mamombe is Zimbabwe's youngest female Member of Parliament representing Harare West Constituency and Human Rights Leader. She is a youth national executive member in the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC). She is a recipient of the One Young World Politician of the Year 2020 Award. She is a trained Molecular Biologist from the Universities of Bergen in Norway and University of Sussex in the UK.
Ms. Jeongwun Rachel Shin, Training Doctor in South Africa
Ms. Jeongwun Shin graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch and is currently training in Johannesburg, pursuing her medical career in assisting and making a difference in the lives of people. She is also a wife and a mom to two beautiful young children. Her dream, goal and aspirations are to become a respected medical personnel who can have a positive impact and influence, not only on patients’ lives but also to the surrounding community, through the values and principles she embodies.
Ms. Ja Young Naphtalie M., Social Innovator
Ms. Ja Young Naphtalie M. is a social innovator who spends much of her time helping to design and implement solutions to solve social problems in a more effective, efficient, and sustainable way, adding value and balance to people, planet, and profit. She has an academic background in Law-Paralegal Studies and Entrepreneurial Leadership. She has been working with community programs and organizations of various natures for the past nearly a decade, impacting the lives of young people through training and mentorship in a variety of areas.
Ms. Bonay Van Der Schyff, Co-Director of NPO ‘Clothes Nappy Collections for Change’
Ms. Bonay Van Der Schyff is an educator, mother of three, and passionate about reducing waste and providing sustainable opportunities for the less fortunate. She is the co-director of the non-profit organization, Clothes Nappy Collections For Change. By leveraging social media, she and her co-directors have successfully cloth diapered over 900 babies within South Africa.
Ms. Bruna Santos, Student in University of Porto
Ms. Bruna Santos is a student studying Language, Literature and Culture at the University of Porto. She is ambitious in building a career in teaching Portuguese and German. She has previously volunteered with the Vertos Pledge program. She has also volunteered with the university group HeforShe FLUP as a former member of the External Relations Department and is currently the Coordinator of the Communications Department.

Ms. Akiha Suzuki, Team Leader of WFWPI Young Professionals Team
As a real estate consultant, Ms. Akiha Suzuki researches real estate markets, especially in the Asia Pacific region, and provides professional investment and financial advice to domestic and international clients looking to buy, sell or invest in properties. She believes that real estate is not only a source of investment and income, but also a major source of human activity.
In addition to her work, she is also a youth leader for WFWP Japan and team leader for WFWPI Young Professionals’ Team where she does activities to promote a culture of peace. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from a University in Japan and a Master's degree in Development, Environment and Policy from the University of Sussex in the UK.
Ms. Kefilwe Lebepe, Member of WFWPI Young Professionals Team
Ms. Kefilwe Lebepe is an active member of WFWP Germany, WFWPI Young Professionals team, and the WFWPI Global Committee for the Environment. Her current work is in environmental protection in South Africa and she is currently promoting it in other countries such as Zambia, Eswatini and Lesotho.
