The 3rd “Hyojeong Sharing Hope Kit” delivery ceremony was held on January 25, at the WFWP Korea headquarters. The “Hyojeong Sharing Hope Kit” aims to inherit the traditional culture of “Hyo” (filial piety in Korean) and “Jeong” (heart in Korean) and share it with our neighbors who are having difficulties due to COVID-19. A total of 100 hope kits which consisted of a variety of food and daily necessities worth 50,000 Won (around $50 USD) each, were sponsored by the 1% Love Share project, WFWP Korea’s signature humanitarian aid project.
These hope kits will be distributed to needy citizens, senior citizens living alone and to select residents of the Cheongpa-dong community, through the Cheongpa-dong Community Service Center. During the delivery ceremony, Mr. Yoon-Kwon Jung, the chief of Cheongpa-dong Community Service Center, said, “I would like to show our gratitude to Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, the Co-founder of Women’s Federation for World Peace, for always practicing her love of Hyojeong for the residents of Cheongpa-dong through her consistent support.”
This “3rd Hyojeong Sharing Hope Kit” was specially prepared to celebrate the Lunar New Year holiday. Eight executives and employees of WFWP Korea, including the WFWP Korea President Mrs. Su-Youn Kim, participated in creating hope kits on January 24, at the headquarters. Meanwhile, WFWP Korea is planning to donate the 4th Hyojeong Sharing Hope Kit to the Cheongpa-dong Community Service Center during the upcoming Chuseok holiday.
