On December 1, 2022, a celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Women’s Federation for World Peace International (WFWPI) was held in Barcelona, Spain. Marcia de Abreu, National President and Secretary-General of WFWP Europe, offered the welcoming message and shared about WFWPI vision and mission and goals for the new year of 2023.
A video on the activities carried out internationally and some slides of those events carried out in Spain were shown with the aim of informing those new guests in attendance. As the guest speaker for the event, Ana García Arroyo, doctor in English philology and writer who is very knowledgeable about India, spoke about the esoteric book Linga Purana, and her Vedic predictions about the Kali Yuga, which describes with great precision what we are facing in our world today.
At the end of the first part of the program, the musical group Las Freedas (from Mexico) and the singer Mariana offered a beautiful musical interlude.
In the second part of the program, WFWP Spain had the contribution of Isabel Mercadé, a professor of religious culture, who promoted the creation of the Interreligious Choir for Peace of the UNESCO Association for Interreligious Dialogue (AUDIR). This presentation was enlivened by Vicky Uribe, soloist of the choir, singing a miscellany of some of her songs and contributing with her color and spirituality.
The moderation of the event by Dulce Balil, Vice President of WFWP Spain, was conducted graciously, helping to create an atmosphere of harmony that enriched and brought everyone close in their hearts to each other.
They closed the event by blowing out the 30th anniversary candles, and sharing snacks with the hope of undertaking, in this new phase, many projects for cooperation, friendship and peace with women from all over the world.
