On September 21, WFWP Russia and the dancing and singing ensemble “Angels of Peace” held a charity concert for elderly people - specifically those who are veterans of science.
It was a very unique concert because Michael Deininger, former soloist of the Vienna Boys Choir, performed together with the Russian children. It was very meaningful that on the International Day of Peace young people from Russia and Europe could bring joy to the elder generation together.
The elderly were very touched to see the unity and cooperation of Europe and Russia youth. Many of them were moved to tears. They felt particularly inspired when the Austrian young man sang songs in Russian. They were smiling and singing along.
The administration of the boarding house expressed their gratitude and hope to hold such an international concert in the future again. WFWP believes that when young people from different countries join together and do something good and useful for the society it becomes a meaningful foundation for building world peace. This international concert, the additional hope was to also promote peace and cooperation between Russia and Europe.
On September 30, WFWP Russia and “Angels of Peace” held another concert for elderly people, commemorating the UN International Day of Older Persons. The old age home loves Angels of Peace very much and keeps inviting the ensemble every year.
This concert was very special because one school ensemble expressed their desire to join the concert. That ensemble belongs to the school with which WFWP has been cooperating for more than 10 years. All 12 classes of the elementary school made very beautiful congratulatory cards. They made so many cards that it became enough for several homes for the elderly.
The administration of the old age home and the administration of the school were very happy and grateful. The elderly people also expressed their deep gratitude and said that because of such wonderful children they have more energy to keep living.
All the homes for the elderly and the school would like to continue their cooperation with WFWP moving forward.
