Creating an Environment for Hope and Love (WFWP Russia)

Due to the heartbreaking situation in our region, it is difficult to celebrate International Women’s Day this year. Instead, Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) Russia decided to hold charity programs to support elderly people and women. Nobody can feel happy in such a difficult situation, but it is always possible to do our best to support each other and to bring comfort to people’s hearts. It is very important to continue to take care of children, to show them a good example and to give them also a chance to do something useful and good for society.
WFWP Russia held a meeting for women on March 8, where the women of different nationalities could gather to share their hearts through songs and poetry. Through this, we wanted to send love and good energy to all people in the world, especially to those families and children who are going through so much suffering.
Another program “From Heart to Heart” was held for elderly women staying in the Elderly People’s House on March 12. At the beginning of March, WFWP invited schools of Moscow to make congratulatory cards and presents for elderly women. Several schools took part in this project and prepared very beautiful handmade presents.
The children’s singing and dancing ensemble “Angles of peace” created under WFWP gave a concert for elderly people and passed all the presents prepared by schoolchildren. Many Angels of peace also made their own presents. Elderly women were deeply moved by the concert and beautiful presents and asked the children to visit them more often.
WFWP members of Russia are convinced that whatever difficult and painful things happen in the world, we should never stop teaching children to be kind and caring people. It is crucially important to teach children to love people of all countries, races, and nationalities. From an early age, children need to understand that the most precious value – is the ability to love and to live for the sake of others.
