Global Women's Peace Network Inaugurated in Dominican Republic of Congo
WFWP Dominican Republic of Congo (DRC) launched the Global Woman's Peace Network on Saturday, September 29, 2018. The General Secretary of the Universal Peace Federation DRC and Reverend Jean Pierre Kadima, National President of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification DRC, presided over the whole event. They both encouraged women leaders to work for the advent of a world based on the maternal heart.
Fifty women attended the ceremony. Three women were distinguished as Ambassadors for Peace. The network was launched internationally in 2012 by the founders of WFWP. The National Peace Council has been working closely with WFWP DRC and intends to make this partnership more diversified with additional activities.
Several people took the floor to share about different aspects of the vision and mission of WFWP. Among them was Mrs. Caroline Pwati, Deputy Leader of the International Interreligious Association for Peace and Development and Responsible under the regional WFWP chapter.
Mike Samuel Makenda Dircab spoke on behalf of the President of the National Peace Council. The program closed with a group photo.
