WFWP International Women’s Day Conference (WFWP UK)
Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) United Kingdom hosted the United Nations (UN) International Women’s Day conference on March 26, 2022. The UN International Women’s Day conference is a part of the WFWP UK program that encourages women to take part in developing their deadership skills and rethink sustainability in times of change.
The conference was created to inspire and support women and their social presence in the process of transforming young women’s lives, and to encourage them to pursue their leadership further in the public eye. In collaboration with the Albanian Society, which is part of the Student Union at University of Westminster, this event took place in the halls of the University.
The conference experience involved a panel of inspirational speakers who shared their programs, ideas and experiences that included leadership roles in the making.
After introductory words by Christa Rennie, Secretary General of WFWP UK and Mitty Tohma, President of WFWP UK as well as Amina Meshnuni of the Albanian Society, our VIP speaker Andrea Williams enlightened us with her amazing journey in life. Next, we were able to listen to the very informative panel speakers Frederick Clarke, Remzije Duli, Lynette Nabbosa and Luljeta Nuzi
The Conference concluded with capacity-building workshops by Gaelle Berruel, Hawa Power, Ena Softic and Amine Meshnuni, which explored the ideas of leadership, empathy, wellbeing, and mental health to inspire and support the audience, and share our common purpose goals.
