31st Anniversary of WFWP in Kenya

The WFWP Kenya chapter organized and celebrated the 31st Anniversary of WFWP on December 23, 2023, in Nairobi, Kenya. The program was attended by dignitaries from other NGOs, Women Groups and partners who have been actively involved in the activities of WFWP over the years. The theme of the event was “Women as the Turning Point of History” and the goal was to highlight women's achievements and to inspire changing the course of history through the leadership of the heart.
In her welcoming remarks, the International Vice President of WFWP Africa, Dr. Susan Kone, introduced the mission and vision of the Co-founder of WFWPI, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, while displaying a video that covers the global activities of the NGO. The Young WFWPI UN Global Women Peace Ambassador, Ms. Serah Njuguna reported on her school project of planting trees. The project is called Green and Fruity Schools which was sponsored by Giving for Good International last year. Other leaders gave congratulatory messages including Dr. Amb. Agnes Awuor of the Pada Miti NGO, the Ezeshaplus Organization Kenya Director, Amb. Justus Mokaya and leaders of affiliated organizations.
Later a special program took place to award new members with certificates, it was a happy moment as the NGO was followed by the appointment of the Global Women Peace Ambassadors, who are women leaders who have excelled in their fields and professions and have impacted many lives positively. It concluded with celebrations, tea time and networking.
